This book is for engaged citizens with the commitment to lead and make a difference where they live. As individuals, and in groups large and small, they drive change forward and create “green” communities. Are you one of them? Authors Jill Doucette and Mark Boysen say it is up to each of us to do our part to transform where we live and create the community of the future. Their step-by-step guide, supported by personal stories of success and courage, is a definitive look at how we can all do our part to improve the well-being of our communities, promote sustainable living, and enhance the quality of our natural environment. “This book is for you if you want to make a lasting impression on your community — and make the world a better place,” they write. Greening Your Community is your personal action plan to help create an efficient, engaged and innovative place to live.
