George Erdosh received his PhD in geology from McGill University. After many years as an exploration geologist, he realized a long-time dream of starting and successfully running a catering business. While running his business, he started writing food- and cooking-related books, and when he retired from the physically demanding job of catering, his focus became food writing in magazines, newspapers, and books.
